Other:

Being a third generation architect with an early understanding of industry practices led me to take an independent path. It’s heresy to some, but I believe in safeguarding the clients' best interests. Unconventional architecture is fun and wins awards, but I let the client decide if that is their goal. For a few years after grad school, I job hopped among architecture firms working on schools, industrial, retail, commercial, and multi-family work. Since then I have had 20 years of self-employment in architecture supplemented with a bit of construction management and real estate investment. I also spent 4 years at a real estate development firm where I participated in all aspects of the process. It all provides a broad skill set and great contacts, and gets design and construction projects completed on time and budget without sacrifice to stunning results. Mastery of complex zoning codes, acquisition of entitlements, and development feasibility solutions for challenging sites are among the specialties.
